Hammer

This World is Made of Stone
And I Hold the Hammer
I am not a master of this form,
Nor the ruler of the land
But I have had the fortune to be born
With a hammer in my hand
This World is Made of Stone
And I Hold the Hammer
Your woods are lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep, my friend
As long as I keep two in line, my step will ne'er be out of time
And this road will never end
This World is Made of Stone
And I hold the Hammer
I am not a master of this form,
Nor a ruler of the land
But I have had the fortune to be born
With a hammer in my hand
And this path is paved in living wood,
And it grows with me
This World is Made of Stone
And I Hold the Hammer

Falling Asleep

How much do you love her?
My beautiful friend
If your world was at an end
Would it matter?
How much do you want her?
When you lay in your bed
Alone
How much does it matter?
Is there anyone else?
Could there be somebody else?
For her?
And do you think she'll see
What you want her to see in you?
You really do now
How much do you love her?
How much do you love her?
Is a beautiful day,
Just a beautiful way to hurt?
And how do you cut it out?
When you've paved your ways around her...
When you're fallin' asleep
For her
But you're wakin' up
But there's no one there
How much do you love her?
Is it worth your suffering?

On

If you see
Then light the way for me
And if you're lost
Then follow me
We'll dance through
Flashing lights
And laser beams
For the world outside is only as it seems
Come with me
I'll show you where you've been
And where you'll go
I guess we'll see
We'll dance through
Flashing lights
And laser beams
For the world outside is only as it seems
I've fallen so far from the light
I'm diggin' a hole tryna find it
I've given up on my body now
Please get me out of here

Convalescent
04:42

These are our voices
These are a single flame in song
These are our choices
These are the roads we travel on
These are our fingers
Up to their knees in spinning clay
These are our hands that grasp, and feet that turn away
These are our places
These are our every changing homes
Oh, can't keep a hold of it for long
Convalescent, I've been leaving all this time
This is how it feels to be alive.
It's like I'm stepping outside for the first time
And I can't believe that it's taken me such a long time
To manifest the world through my own two eyes,
Quiet myself down when I'm tellin' me lies,
And start to recognize
That this truth is mine
That I build the walls between inside and outside
And I'm doing the best that I can,
But I stand where I stand,
And I am only a man,
So I can only make the choice to accept this
My dialectics,
Had me livin' inside a head trip
Of perspectives
That I would always compare
To people and things
That I really couldn't see from right here,
Yo I was scared.
Throughout my life,
Someone had told me
The way that I was livin aint right, like
There's a certain set of things that a man has to have
And if you don't have a plan, well how do you get that??
I suppose it just comes
And I've only just begun.
So I'm takin' a trip up the coast,
Make the most of livin' before I turn into a ghost
Cause I'm feelin like
This is the only world that I'm gonna get,
But lost in my thoughts
I haven't stopped to see it quite yet,
So I get my feet wet,
Not knowing if I'm ready for that,
But I'm makin' a bet,
That givin' up is worth what I get
When I let go

Climbing Your Walls
04:29
|
|||
I told myself that I was through with climbin'
That the fall was just too high
But you showed me something that seemed to be worth tryin'
So I lifted my gaze to the sky
Climbin' your walls wasn't easy
Climbin' your walls took some time
Enduring it all, only to be leavin'
But oh what a view from so up high
Well I told myself that I was through with tryin'
That the fault was always mine
My situation was never worth the cryin'
And to the cost, I was always blind
Oh, but Climbin' your walls was different
Climbin' your walls was worth a try
And during it all, oh I've been slippin'
But I found you at the bottom
When I stopped to do mine
Climbin' your walls wasn't easy
No, but climbin' your walls was worth the time
Enduring it all, only to reach you
When I found you at the bottom,
You were right there at the bottom
All the time
